In 2018, I began doing makeup for prom clients out of my bedroom—that’s where Sophi Looks first took shape.

What started as a personal passion has grown into a career rooted in collaboration and artistry. I’ve worked across the Southeast on photoshoots, music projects, film sets, weddings, and special events, bringing creative visions to life through both art direction and makeup artistry.

Today, I serve as Creative Director at two sister beauty booking startups in the Bay Area, Vishmo and Kohisi, where I lead creative strategy, visual storytelling, and brand development—helping shape experiences that connect independent beauty and wellness professionals with their communities.

Beyond makeup, I’m passionate about shaping the full creative picture—styling, lighting, photography, and overall visual storytelling. I’m fascinated by texture, color, shape, sound, and emotion, and I love using these sensory elements to craft immersive, intentional narratives. My work in art direction allows me to bring ideas from concept to execution while collaborating with talented teams.​​

Originally from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and now based in Berkeley, California, I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2025 with a B.F.A. in Business of Beauty & Fragrance and a minor in Fashion Marketing & Management. During my time at SCAD, I founded and served as President of the Makeup Artistry Club, a role that deepened my passion for creative collaboration, education, and community-building within the beauty space.​​
